Canal towpath user survey

British Waterways wish to get feedback from regular users of the Union and the Forth/Clyde canal towpaths

The aim of the survey is to identify health benefits associated with increased levels of physcial activity, and thereby help make the case for future investment in improvements to the canal and towpath.  The survey is therefore primarily aimed at regular users of the towpaths, rather than very occasional visitors.

The survey is part of a study funded by the Central Scotland Green Network, British Waterways Scotland, and The Waterways Trust Scotland.  Other aspects of the study at a later date will cover use of the canal itself, whereas this survey concentrates on the towpath.

The survey is said to take around 10-15 minutes to complete and is online at www.mvasurvey.com/bws-health.

Please note that Spokes is not involved in organising this survey.  If you have any questions about it, please contact bbyrd@mvaconsultancy.com.
