Please note - this is not a complete list of activities.  There are a great deal of small items, and the usual general admin - responding to many queries, managing database updates with our volunteer updaters, organising many small developments, adding downloads to website, etc, etc.



MEMBERSHIP/INTERNAL THINGS

- liaising with Christine on improving admin, e.g. to tackle email addresses which fail, make it easier to spot redundancies in orgs database, etc

** Bulletin 105 [main activity of the month] - preparation, collecting info, finding pictures, writing, ...
- Mailout organisation - labelling, arranging deliveries, running mailout meeting, etc.

- Liaison with stuart/callum re move to new site

LOBBYING, SUBMISSIONS, EVENTS

** Submissions/Consultations -
- Submission to CEC on public realm strategy document

** SSN Sustainability Conference 29 Oct - John Swinney speaking
- prepared handout for delegates, and organised 10 or so members to leaflet delegates as they arrived - very successful - 150-200 leafletted, including JS himself.
- also attended conference and managed to ask funding question after his speech.

** Princes Street - extensive emails with senior officers following Scotsman article suggesting bikes could be banned in Princes St.  Strong assurances obtained that this is false - hopefully the correspondence will also get the issue higher priority.  Also widened the correspondence into general neglect of cycling in policies on streetscape, public realm, etc.

** Liaison with other bodies/individuals on a wide range of issues, including for example...
- Various MSPs re. early 2010/11 budget discussions
- Continuing debate with John Parkin (academic), Chris peck (CTC), Roger Geffen (CTC) re methods of increasing bike usage
