We have stalls at the Farmers Market (Aug 27, Sep 24); Fauldhouse (Sep 3); Pedal for Scotland (Sep 11); Saughton Park (Aug 26, Fri). SUMMER COMPETITION - closes 24 September Still very few entries, so please everyone make a big effort to get friends/colleagues to enter. Also pass on the web link (below) to friends/ colleagues and to any circulars it can get into. Judy/Dave have contacted Sustrans/CTC to get it in e-newsletters, Katherine/Euan have leafletted 100+ bikes in total at their workplaces. Dave will tweet it again 4 & 2ish weeks before closing date. - Judy etc to try and get people to enter at stalls (not just take away a form, if possible) - Mies and Mark experimentally to try encouraging cyclists on MMW to enter - Dave to email winners from last year, encouraging them to enter - Mies to send 10 or so entry forms to all the prize donators. Please ask me if you need printed copies of the info sheet/ entry form e.g. to give to friends or to leaflet bikes at your workplace. [* from last meeting - not discussed further] *TENEMENTS - awaiting autumn and the council onstreet application form. *BIKE/RAIL SURVEY - hope to do Survey Monkey in the autumn. Katherine to prepare ideas. This could also be used for evidence to the EGIP consultation and the ScotRail franchise consultation. *BUFFS with printed map - Katherine investigating costs, as a possible stall sales item, and hopes to bring a sample to next mtg. T-SHIRTS - to be sold at stalls at £5. Only adult small/medium available TABARDS (blank ones, not spokes ones) - we have maybe 30 - don't need them. To include in a spokesworker or circular asking for anyone who could use up to say 10 free for a good cause. AUTUMN PUBLIC MEETING - ATAP progress + comparison with Oxford. Mark to organise; Dave to send contacts to Mark. Aim for one of Nov 15-17 or 22-24. - ATAP progress - Cllr Mackenzie - Oxford 'dual network' cycling philosophy - Richard Mann (from Oxford Cycling Campaign + is a transport expert) - Venue - Augustine United, Geo. IV Bridge, if possible date-wise. AGM - will advertise it in a fairly low key way in spokesworker accompanying autumn mailout. Venue - hire room in a pub or in Teviot (Mies to investigate Teviot) - need access to an existing bar, nothing special to be laid on for us. The meeting would be business followed by general chatting/ socialising. Date to be fixed at next mtg once autumn public mtg date finalised.
