Spokes Mapp Buff: buying after xmas

Spokes has commissioned an Original Buff printed with an extract of the
Edinburgh Spokes cycle map…

Here it is modelled by Andy Hunter of www.storybikes.co.uk, showing some of its multiple uses.   Andy was helping us leaflet conference delegates about the drastic cuts to cycling investment in the Scottish Government’s draft budget 2012-13.

HOW TO PURCHASE A SPOKES MAPP BUFF

Update:  purchases after Christmas

Collect & buy:  After Christmas some of the sales-points under (2) below may still have buffs available, price £10 payable on collection.

If South Edinburgh is convenient the best contact for ‘collect and buy’ from December 29 onwards is judy.cantleyATbtinternet.com, phone 447 7108.

Orders by post:  please send a cheque for £12 payable to Spokes – this includes postage.

Pre-Christmas purchases:

If possible, please buy your buff(s) from one of our volunteer sales points, as below.  If you do this, the cost is £10.   Please bring exact payment with you – we may not have change.  You will be given a receipt.   If you want the buff before Christmas, please make your purchase by Weds 21 December at the latest, so as not to bother our volunteers in the last few days.

If you cannot buy/collect as above, and would like your buff posted please send a cheque for £12 payable to Spokes – this includes postage.  If you buy by post we cannot guarantee that it will reach you by Christmas – we are all volunteers and may not be able to deal with post sufficiently in the second half of December.

SPOKES VOLUNTEER SALES POINTS

1.  OPEN HOUSE SALES – now closed

2. SPECIAL-ARRANGEMENT SALES

Please email or phone the person below most convenient for your area, and arrange a time when you can go along to buy your buff (taking your £10 with you).  Please remember these are all volunteers, so try to be as helpful as possible in arranging convenient times, and please don’t contact them between December 22-26 inclusive.

WHY IS IT THE SPOKES MAPP BUFF?

  1. Why not?
  2. Because it’s got a Spokes map part, or should that be mapp art?
  3. Because Mapp and Buff are both consonant, vowel, repeated-consonant, so they look good together.
  4. Because it Makes A Perfect Present [as mentioned in the heading of this article – did you notice?]
