Despite the extensive work that has gone into developing these proposals, councillors have decided on a major last-minute change. However, it is possible that the eventual net outcome will be beneficial to cycling conditions, for the reasons below.
Good news from Edinburgh Council, whilst at Holyrood the draft budget for 2010/11 yet again boosts trunk road spending whilst maintaining cycling investment at a miserable level.
Edinburgh Council is consulting on major proposals for higher bus priority between Cameron Toll roundabout and the new Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Comments must be submitted by 27 August, and there will also be a staffed exhibition on Sat/Sun 15/16 August.
